Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager to join the expanding Audit & Assurance team in Meath. You will manage a portfolio of audit clients and lead engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 2 years PQE within practice is required, along with strong Irish GAAP knowledge and excellent client-relations skills. Hybrid working and clear progression are offered.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience leading audit engagements and managing client engagements.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a variety of industries.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
• Review audit files, financial statements, and working papers prepared by junior team members.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Identify and communicate audit findings, recommendations, and commercial insights to management and clients.
• Assist Partners and Directors with the management of audit assignments and departmental workflow.
• Mentor, coach, and support trainees and junior auditors in their professional development.
• Ensure compliance with auditing, accounting, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Accounts, Tax, and Advisory teams to provide a comprehensive service to clients.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities to add value to client relationships.
