Job summary

Wallace Myers International in Dublin is seeking an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary client team on a permanent basis. You will lead projects from concept through completion, shaping mechanical building services for healthcare, residential, education, commercial, industrial, pharma and data centre sectors.

The role emphasizes mentorship, client liaison, and business development, with hybrid or remote options.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' post-graduate experience in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering.
  • Level 8/9 degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or close to achieving) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of multiple projects from concept through to completion.
  • Oversee the design of mechanical building services, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Manage and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Act as a key client interface, representing the company at meetings and project reviews.
  • Contribute to business development, including client engagement and project bidding.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, efficiency, and commercial awareness across all projects.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary client's team in Dublin. This is a permanent opportunity within a dynamic and collaborative consultancy offering excellent career progression, supported by structured mentoring and leadership development. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in leading projects, managing client relationships, and supporting the growth and development of the engineering team. You will work across a diverse portfolio including Healthcare, Residential, Education, Commercial, Industrial, Pharma, and Data Centre projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of multiple projects from concept through to completion

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively
  • Full driver's licence and access to own transport
