Job summary

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP in Ireland's Dublin office is seeking an Associate for its Litigation and Regulation department, one of the largest in the country, to manage complex disputes and provide strategic advice to private and public sector clients.

The successful candidate will have 2–6 years’ PQE in dispute resolution and regulatory matters, strong academics and excellent research, communication and team skills, and the ability to mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years’ PQE in dispute resolution or regulatory matters.
• Experience at a leading law firm, Irish or international.
• Strong academic record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Managing and assisting with a range of cases before supreme courts and in alternative dispute resolution.
• Managing and assisting with a range of regulatory matters including investigations, enforcement actions and strategic advisory work.
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, witness statements, submissions and settlement agreements.
• Conducting legal research and providing strategic advice.
• Liaising with counsel and developing client relationships.
• Supervising and developing junior colleagues.
• Providing support to other business units as required.
• Providing ongoing training to colleagues and clients
