Job summary

The European Investment Bank (EIB) seeks an Associate Sector Specialist - Innovative Transport Technologies Deployment in Luxembourg. This full-time role sits in the Projects Directorate, Mobility Department, MADE division, focusing on decarbonisation, digitalisation, and innovative logistics, with regular office presence.

You will support project appraisal and due diligence in shipping, automotive, rail and aviation, contribute to policy papers, and engage with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, economics or related field.
• At least 3 years in innovative transport projects incl. shipping/logistics decarbonisation.
• Interest in transport tech, logistics and decarbonisation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proactive and adaptable.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, economic security and supply chain risk is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support project appraisal and monitoring with market research, data analysis and benchmarking of technologies.
• Assist in assessing project rationale, viability and policy alignment across transport sectors.
• Progressively take an active role in due diligence including technical and market assessments.
• Contribute to sector, policy and methodology papers and represent the EIB at sector events.
