Job summary

European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg seeks an Associate Sector Specialist - Urban Mobility to join the Urban Mobility Division within the Housing, Cities and Regions Department. The role involves due diligence of transport and urban mobility projects to support robust investment decisions under the EU Climate Bank mandate.

The position is full-time at grade 4 with a 3-year contract, and relocation support is offered. Panel interviews are anticipated for November.

Qualifications

• University degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor) in civil or transport engineering, transport economics or another relevant technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the infrastructure sector; experience in transport would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of English and/or French, with a good command of the other. (Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the viability of transport and urban mobility projects and programmes.
• Support screening of projects for conformity with policy and lending requirements.
• Contribute to advisory activities for implementation of operations and mandates.
• Monitor project implementation in cooperation with relevant services.
• Contribute to sector studies, policy papers and analyses.
