Job description

I’m working exclusively with a Dublin-headquartered renewable energy investor and asset manager to hire an Associate Director, Portfolio Reporting & Analysis (FP&A). My client manages institutional investment funds that back wind, solar and battery storage projects across Europe.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a team of three, you’ll own portfolio reporting, analysis and the valuation process across the funds and their underlying assets. This isn’t a routine modelling role. You’ll challenge complex models, turn their outputs into a clear financial story for senior management, and build out the function as the portfolio grows. That means better data, standardised models and automated reporting, which frees the team up for analysis that drives decisions.

What you’ll do
  • Analyse performance, returns, cash flows and distributions across the funds and underlying assets, and flag emerging risks early
  • Lead asset budgets, forecasts and scenario analysis
  • Oversee the quarterly valuation models: review them, challenge the assumptions, and take them through senior management, the valuations committee and the AIFM
  • Lead the Monthly Business Review, Quarterly Investor Report and lender reporting, and support responses to investor queries
  • Partner with the Asset Management, Construction & Development and Investment teams on commercial decisions
  • Build a common data and reporting layer, using automation, BI tools and AI to cut out manual work
  • Lead, coach and develop the team
What you’ll bring
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience and a strong background in FP&A, portfolio finance or commercial finance
  • Hands‑on financial and valuation modelling experience, and the confidence to challenge assumptions and outputs
  • At least three years managing a team
  • A track record of improving reporting, systems or finance processes
  • The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in renewables, infrastructure, investment management or another asset‑heavy sector is a real advantage
  • NetSuite, automation or AI experience would be beneficial
