Job summary

Nayr Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a west Dublin-based role. You will support client-side capital major/minor works and maintenance programmes, drawing on at least 4 years of contractor or consulting engineer experience.

The position offers a defined career path, with responsibilities spanning programme and cost monitoring, tender processes, and chairing project reviews. A Level 8 Engineering/Construction degree is required.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Degree in Engineering or Construction related.
• Minimum 4 years' experience with a contractor or consulting engineers.
• Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies.
• Proven track record delivering projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tender and contractor/consultant appointment processes.
• Chair and minute project review meetings.
• Ensure maintenance of buildings, services and equipment.
• Ensure smooth information flow between all contract parties.
• Identify potential bottlenecks and implement remedies.
• Agree valuations and final accounts for contractors/consultants.
• Monitor construction programme and cost plan to minimise variations.
• Assist in front-end design planning and procurement of other projects.
