Job summary

Currys Ireland is seeking an Assistant Category Manager to support day-to-day commercial activity across Computing, Mobile, Gaming and Accessories. The role is based in Dublin at the Dublin Support Centre with Omni Park Hybrid – 3rd Floor Office Suite and requires minimum one day per week in the office.

The successful candidate will travel to our 16 stores nationwide, work with UK counterparts, and help plan pricing, promotions and assortment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in buying, category management or supplier management in FMCG/retail/corporate settings.
Strong commercial acumen with understanding of financial performance and margins.
Highly organised with excellent analytical skills to manage and interpret data.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Category Manager in delivering sales and margin targets for the category.
Create, maintain and execute promotional plans and channel activations.
Produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting on sales, margin, stock and channel performance.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends; translate insights into actions.
Use internal tools to implement pricing strategies and maintain market competitiveness.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external supplier partners.
