Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment are partnering with a leading manufacturing company in North Dublin to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This temporary role offers an immediate start with a view to extension and reports to the Senior Financial Accountant.

You will support day-to-day finance functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, and processing invoices, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting and statutory returns. A strong development opportunity within a busy finance team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or finance role.
• Part-qualified or working towards a professional qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Strong Excel skills with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close and management accounts
• Bank, balance sheet and supplier reconciliations
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Process invoices, payments and journals
• Assist with VAT and other statutory returns
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Assist with audit and year-end activities
• Provide general support to the finance team
