Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Team with a range of accounting and analytical tasks. You will report to the Financial Controller and help manage AP/AR, record transactions, and prepare schedules using Asana.

The role requires 1–2 years' experience, solid accounting principles knowledge, and strong communication skills. Proactive, detail-oriented candidates will thrive in a collaborative finance environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification or pursuing qualification.
• 1-2 years' experience as Accounts Assistant or Accounting Technician.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Passionate about Ireland's improvement and Rethink Ireland's mission.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Team with a range of accounting and analytical tasks.
• Report to the Financial Controller.
• Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Record all transactions in the ledgers.
• Prepare monthly payment run schedules using Asana.
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Issue PO numbers and manage related queries.
• Assist in preparing the monthly Management Accounts Pack.
• Support the annual insurance renewal process.
• Support other day-to-day Finance Team activities.
• Support HR with timesheet data and TOIL calculations.
