Job summary

Harvey's Point Hotel in Donegal is seeking an Assistant Accommodation Manager to lead the Accommodation Department and uphold luxury service standards. You will supervise housekeeping, ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction, and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations in a busy, upscale setting.

The role requires supervisory experience in hospitality, strong organisational and communication skills, and flexibility to cover early shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience in a busy upscale hotel environment.
• Strong organisational, time-management and leadership abilities.
• High attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work early shifts, weekends and holiday periods in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and organise the housekeeping team, including rotas, duties and room allocations.
• Lead by example, ensuring professionalism, teamwork, presentation and procedures compliance.
• Conduct room inspections and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, pantries and equipment are clean and maintained.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other departments for efficient operations.
• Manage daily and scheduled cleaning requirements.
• Deliver excellent guest care and handle special requests and complaints.
• Maintain consistently high service standards throughout guest stays.
• Monitor security of guestrooms and report maintenance issues and lost property.

Duties

• Supervise, support, and organise the housekeeping team, including rotas, duties, and room allocations.

• Lead by example, ensuring professionalism, teamwork, presentation, and compliance with procedures.

• Conduct room inspections and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.

• Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, pantries, and equipment are clean and well maintained.

• Work closely with supervisors and other departments to ensure efficient operations.

• Manage daily and scheduled cleaning requirements.

• Ensure excellent guest care and satisfaction, including special requests and complaints.

• Maintain consistently high service standards throughout the guest stay.

• Maintain key and guestroom security and report lost property and maintenance issues.

• Monitor housekeeping equipment, supplies, and guest amenities.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Supervisory or Assistant Manager role within a busy, upscale hotel environment is essential

• Strong organisation, time management, and leadership abilities.

• High attention to detail and good communication skills.
