Job summary

Grand Canal Capital Partners Ltd. in Dublin 2 seeks an Asset Management Associate to join our Dublin office on a full-time basis.

You will work directly with partners on a multi-let commercial portfolio and gain exposure to new investments, advisory mandates, and buying and selling assets. Day-to-day you will build business plans, review leases, identify value-add initiatives, maintain financial models, prepare client reports, coordinate with managers and advisers, track projects, and keep data

Qualifications

• Some asset management experience is useful.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• A good understanding of real estate finance and investment analysis.
• Willingness to travel as the Portfolio covers Ireland and UK.
• Confidence reading financial statements, budgets and variance reports.
• Clear written and verbal communication; you’ll be advising Irish and offshore investors.
• A degree in real estate, finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Comfort with data and technology; AI tools are used across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver business plans for each asset
• Review leases and tenant information, and keep on top of key lease events
• Identify Value Add initiatives and execute them
• Build and maintain financial models, and run market and asset-level analysis
• Prepare performance reports and recommendations for client investors
• Work with third party property managers, valuers, solicitors and other advisers
• Track capital projects and operational initiatives
• Keep portfolio data accurate and up to date

About us

Grand Canal Capital Partners is a Dublin-based real estate investment manager. We currently strategically manage more than €300 million of commercial real estate on behalf of Irish and International investors.

We’re a niche partner-led firm. Alongside asset management, we work across investment management, advisory and acquisitions/disposals. Our clients range from institutions to family offices, and we aim to be the partner they trust with their capital.

We’re a small team so the successful candidate will be working closely with the partners seeing a wide range of opportunities in direct and indirect real estate and will take on responsibilities early on.

The role

We’re looking for an Asset Management Associate to join us full-time in our Dublin 2 office.

The role is mainly asset management. You’ll work directly with the partners on a multi-let commercial portfolio, and you’ll also get exposure to the wider business: new investments, advisory mandates, and buying and selling assets.

Day to day, you will:

Some asset management experience is useful. What matters most is that you’re independent-minded, curious and ambitious.

We’d also expect:
