Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd. in Cornelscourt seeks an Assistant Team Leader to support the counter team, ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, and leadership during busy trading days.

You will work with the Team Leader, help with stock, HACCP compliant food safety, and foster a positive team culture. Weekend availability and five-day weeks required; training provided.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years' experience in food retail.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a similar environment.
• Strong interest in artisan and specialty foods, particularly Irish and European cheeses.
• HACCP training and commitment to food safety standards.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
• Availability to work weekends and flexibility to work 5 days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Team Leader in overseeing daily operations of the counter.
• Lead and guide team members during shifts, including task allocation and breaks.
• Monitor performance and foster a positive team culture with strong morale.
• Assist in stock control, placing and receiving orders, and resolving stock queries.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in HACCP compliance.
• Support customer engagement through tastings, supplier visits, and in-store promotions.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, requests, and returns.
• Monitor product quality issues and liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with Retail Management Team, Team Leaders in other locations, and host store management.
• Carry out other duties to ensure smooth counter operation.
