Job summary

St Vincent de Paul (SVP) invites applications for an Area Manager covering Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow. This permanent full-time role (37.5 hours weekly) is based in SVP House and focuses on leading a team of Shop Managers to maximise sales, productivity and customer satisfaction across the region.

You will ensure SVP retail standards and statutory compliance, manage staff and volunteers across sites, and drive business development in a values-led voluntary sector. Closing date: 20 Sep 2026.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of high-volume retail management experience over multiple locations.
• Experience managing a large workforce, including staff and volunteers, across multiple locations.
• Multi-site management experience is essential.
• Full P&L accountability.
• Proven track record of sales growth and business development.
• Knowledge of EPOS, stock control, and cash management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Shop Managers within the East Region (Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow).
• Maximise sales, productivity, revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction.

The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Area Manager (Permanent Full Time; 37.5 hours per week) to join our East Region team covering Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow, based in SVP House. The post holder will have responsibility for developing and leading a team of Shop Managers within the Region. To maximise sales, productivity, revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction levels through the efficient management of the Vincent's shops by ensuring compliance within the SVP retail standards, current relevant legislation and SVP policy and ethos. Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required Qualifications

Professional Management qualification is desirable Experience Multi-site experience is essential 3+ years of high volume retail management experience over multiple locations 3+ years' experience of managing a large workforce, and ability to manage a wide range of staff and volunteers, across multiple locations Experience of management in the community / voluntary sector is desirable Full P+L accountability A proven track record of sales growth and business development

Knowledge

Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged is desirable
