Job summary

Kepak Group, a leading European meat producer in Ireland, is seeking an Area Leader to oversee and monitor production processes for efficiency and quality. You will lead a production team, allocate resources, and ensure safety and hygiene standards across daily operations.

The role involves a 35-hour work week with overtime potential and a rotating 4-day shift pattern (AM/PM). Experience in Lean manufacturing and HACCP is essential, with strong communication and team leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Area Leader/Supervisor in food production
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
• Knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP guidelines
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Handling pork and beef products in daily operations

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor production processes to ensure operations run to schedule
• Lead a team of operational staff within the production unit
• Allocate resources to manufacturing schedules and prioritise workflow
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of production data
• Collaborate with Maintenance, NPD and Quality to ensure seamless processes
• Implement and monitor hygiene and food safety requirements
• Train, develop and motivate the team to deliver optimal performance
