Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group in Cork is partnering with a growing residential design and construction business to hire an Architectural Technician. You will work on bespoke extensions, renovations and living spaces, taking ownership from concept to completion.

The role focuses on technical drawing and 3D visuals, coordinating with design, estimating, interiors and construction teams, meeting clients, and ensuring drawings comply with building regulations.

Qualifications

• At least four years’ experience in residential architectural design or a similar technical role.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to produce complete drawing packages independently.
• Strong skills in at least one 3D modelling program: SketchUp, Revit or ArchiCAD.
• A good understanding of residential construction and technical detailing.
• Fluent English and the ability to commute reliably to our Cork office. Own transport is preferred.

Are you an experienced Architectural Technician looking for an opportunity to work on bespoke residential projects where you can combine technical expertise with creative design? We’re working with a growing residential design and construction business specialising in high-quality home extensions, renovations and bespoke living spaces.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied range of projects, collaborating with design, interior design, estimating and construction teams from initial concept through to completion. This role would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of architectural design but is looking for more ownership of their work

Main responsibilities (Full Job Spec on request)
