Job summary

Collins McNicholas Group in Cork is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to work on bespoke residential projects, combining technical design with creative concepts.

You will produce AutoCAD drawings, create 3D models, meet clients, and coordinate with design, estimating, interiors and construction teams from concept to completion. The role requires four years' residential design experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while preserving accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least four years’ experience in residential architectural design or a similar technical role.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and ability to produce complete drawing packages independently.
• Strong skills in at least one 3D modelling program: SketchUp, Revit or ArchiCAD.
• Good understanding of residential construction and technical detailing.
• Good communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects.
• Fluent English and the ability to commute reliably to Cork office. Own transport is preferred.
• Experience with rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion or Twinmotion would be an advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied range of projects, collaborating with design, interior design, estimating and construction teams from initial concept through to completion.
