Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a responsible Consultant to oversee day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities within the Fee Billing Team in Ireland. You will train staff, supervise billing processes, and resolve work issues promptly to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will act as a subject-matter expert, guide junior staff, and work with auditors to maintain robust controls and documented procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and analytical team player with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong time management, multi-tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing workloads and deadlines.
• Strong math skills; proficient in Excel and Microsoft applications; PeopleSoft a plus.
• Several years of Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable or Payroll experience in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Accounts Receivable duties for the Fee Billing Team.
• Provide training and cross-training to team members on AR activities.
• Escalate risk and control matters; mentor staff in procedures and SOX controls.
• Improve processes and ensure timely, accurate deliverables with internal partners.
• Coordinate workload, set priorities, monitor activities and ensure completion.
• Assist internal/external audits with required documentation.
• Identify control gaps and implement efficiencies in the team.
