Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd in Ireland is seeking an apprentice electrician to learn and develop practical craft-related skills in electrical wiring, testing, and maintenance on projects spanning Energy, Pharma, Food & Beverage and Data Centres. You will gain hands-on experience while working in a safety-conscious team and under structured induction.

• Minimum O5 in Leaving Certificate Maths.
• Up-to-date Safe Pass and Manual Handling Training.
• Interest in Electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

What you will be doing?

You will be learning and developing new and practical craft-related skills, knowledge, and competence by:

• 1st Year €9.47
• 2nd Year €12.18
• 3rd Year €17.59
• 4th Year €21.65

Lodge €181.68 if applicable to the project you are working on.

Suir Engineering Apprentice Induction

Prior to an Apprentice starting on site with Suir Engineering you are required to complete a 4 day induction in our Training Centre in City West, Co. Dublin.
