Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd in Waterford is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our expanding international team. Based in Waterford, you will help deliver large-scale electrical contracts across data centres, pharma, energy and manufacturing sectors, contributing to costed tenders and robust technical submissions.

The ideal candidate holds a third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and a track record in mission critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates and tender submissions for large-scale projects across Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Energy sectors.
• Review client specifications, drawings, scope documents and tender requirements to identify key project deliverables and risks.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and material assessments from electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and compliant tender submissions.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and commercial teams to develop robust technical and commercial proposals.
• Assist in value engineering exercises and identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
• Prepare detailed bid documentation, pricing schedules and supporting technical submissions.
• Analyze tender returns and maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Attend tender review meetings and contribute to bid strategy discussions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the tendering process to clarify technical requirements.

What You Will Be Doing
