Job summary

Flogas Ireland is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the data modelling layer, turning raw data into analysis-ready datasets on the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will bridge data engineering and BI, building and governing transformation logic for trusted datasets used in reporting and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include developing the semantic layer for Power BI, enforcing data quality, and designing dbt models across the Medallion architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of analytics/engineering experience.
• Dimensional modelling and Medallion/Lakehouse patterns knowledge.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience with dbt or equivalent transformation framework.
• Experience with Power BI and semantic modelling.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD for analytics code.

Responsibilities

• Own the data modelling layer for analysis-ready datasets.
• Build and govern transformation logic for the Fabric platform.
• Develop semantic layer for Power BI reporting with consistent metrics.
• Define data quality standards; enforce testing in the pipeline.
• Design and maintain dbt models across bronze-silver-gold layers.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Power BI developers.
• Document data models and business logic in the data catalogue.
