Job summary

Q Securities S.A. is establishing its Irish branch in Dublin. We seek an experienced AML/CFT, risk and compliance leader to build and oversee the branch's framework, governance and regulatory interactions.

The role demands strong local leadership and alignment with Group standards and the Central Bank of Ireland. Eligible candidates will have a compliance/risk background in financial services, knowledge of BoI expectations, and readiness to work in a small team with Head Office collaboration in

Qualifications

  • The candidate has a degree/qualification in Compliance, Risk, Law, Business, Economic, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in Risk, Compliance, AML/CFT within regulated financial services, preferably investment funds.
  • Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements, expectations and supervisory approach.
  • Experience in PCF roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate independently with sound judgement and contribute to Branch operations.
  • Willingness to work in a small branch office in cooperation with Head Office in Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee AML/CFT requirements for the Ireland Branch.
  • Oversee KYC processes for prospective clients with onboarding unit coordination.
  • Develop and manage Ireland Branch risk function and its procedures.
  • Align local risk procedures with Head Office framework.
  • Design, implement and maintain Branch's compliance monitoring programme.
  • Maintain robust compliance policies, procedures and controls.
  • Deliver employee training to reinforce a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
  • Participate in onboarding processes for depositary and brokerage clients.
  • Collaborate with internal auditors and remediation of findings as required.
  • Manage regulatory relationships and submissions; report to Board on governance matters.

Job description

Q Securities S.A. is a Polish MiFID investment firm operating as a depositary of Alternative Investment Funds in several European jurisdictions. We serve a wide range of funds implementing private equity, private debt, real estate, securitization and other strategies. Following the launch of our first foreign branch in Luxembourg in early 2021 and our second branch in Malta in 2023, we established our Irish branch in 2026 as part of our continued European expansion. As we build our initial core team in Ireland, we are seeking a candidate to take on a pivotal leadership role in Ireland as the Irish branch's:

AML/CFT, Risk& Compliance Officer/Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Responsibilities:

Upon joining the Ireland Branch office, the successful candidate will assume an overall responsibility for the risk, compliance and AML/CFT frameworks and will play a central role in supporting the branch’s governance, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth. Given the initial small size of the office (4-6 employees), the role is expected to provide strong local leadership across all three areas, whilst ensuring appropriate alignment with Group standards and the expectations of the Central Bank of Ireland. The responsibilities will include:

  • implementing, managing and overseeing the Branch's compliance with AML/CFT requirements
  • overseeing KYC processes for prospective clients in coordination with the Firm’s onboarding unit
  • developing and managing the risk function of the Ireland Branch
  • ensuring local risk procedures are robust and appropriately aligned with the Firm’s Head Office framework
  • designing, implementing and maintaining the Branch's compliance monitoring programme
  • ensuring the Ireland Branch maintains effective and robust compliance policies, procedures and controls
  • developing and delivering employee training programmes to support a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness
  • participating in depositary and brokerage clients onboarding processes (committees)
  • working closely with the Firm’s internal auditor and supporting the remediation of findings, where required
  • managing regulatory relationships and regulatory submissions
  • partnering with Branch management, Head Office functions and the Board on governance, risk and regulatory matters
Requirements::

This role is designated as a Pre‑Approval Controlled Function (PCF-12, PCF-14 and PCF-52) under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime. Appointment will be subject to prior approval by the Central Bank of Ireland. Due diligence and background checks will be conducted as part of the assessment process. The successful candidate must meet and continue to meet the Fitness and Probity Standards applicable to the role.

Skills, Knowledge & Profile:

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate the following:

  • a degree/qualification in Compliance, Risk, Law, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline
  • substantial experience in Risk, Compliance, AML/CFT within a regulated financial services entity, preferably in the investment funds sector
  • strong knowledge of Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements, expectations and supervisory approach
  • although not a prerequisite, having prior experience in a PCF role will be advantageous
  • the ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgement and contribute to the operations of the Branch
  • willingness to work in a small branch office covering all three areas of responsibilityin cooperation with the head office located in Poland
