Qualifications

  • Understanding of European and Irish regulatory landscape (UCITS/AIF, ESG, Data Protection, Market Abuse, AML).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in financial services or regulated environments.
  • University degree in Law, Economics, Finance or related discipline.
  • English language certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of compliance activities at Management Company level, ensuring adherence to European and Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements, Corporate Governance and Fitness & Probity standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, forms and regulatory reports.
  • Maintain the Compliance Universe, Compliance Risk Assessment and annual Compliance Plan.
  • Support execution of compliance monitoring activities in line with the annual plan.
  • Act as local point of contact for regulatory queries and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate and deliver compliance and regulatory training for employees.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and governance.

Our client is a global firm operating in the Asset Management industry. For the Irish management company within the Group we are seeking an Compliance Officer

Main responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the management of compliance activities at Management Company level, ensuring adherence to European and Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements, Corporate Governance and Fitness & Probity standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsabilities:

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the candidate will:

  • Support the promotion and maintenance of a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
  • Assist in managing professional and constructive relationships with regulators, external auditors, delegates, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the drafting, review, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, forms, and regulatory reports.
  • Assist in maintaining the Compliance Universe, Compliance Risk Assessment, and annual Compliance Plan.
  • Support the execution of compliance monitoring activities in line with the annual Compliance Plan.
  • Assist with initial and ongoing compliance due diligence assessments of delegates and service providers.
  • Act as a local point of contact for regulatory queries and compliance-related matters.
  • Support the delivery and coordination of compliance and regulatory training programmes for employees.
  • Collaborate with senior management and internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and best practice governance standards.
Candidate profile
  • The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of the European and Irish regulatory landscape, including (UCITS and AIF frameworks, ESG regulations, Data Protection requirements, Market Abuse regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) obligations)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience within financial services, consulting, banking, insurance, legal, or other regulated environments.
  • University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in English language proficiency will be considered an advantage

Compensation Package
Salary Range

€45,000–€60,000 (The compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall skills relevant to the role)
