Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Global Clinical Operations AI Program Associate Director to drive the delivery of the AI portfolio, translating ideas into scalable, compliant solutions. You will partner across Clinical Operations, Development AI, Data, Digital and IT, and business leaders to lead program execution and adoption.

This hybrid role requires planning and governance across multiple streams, with an emphasis on change management and measurable outcomes in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, life sciences, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification beneficial.
• Significant experience in program management within global organizations.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and drive cross-functional delivery.
• Strong understanding of Clinical Operations or ability to develop expertise in the clinical trial environment.
• Experience delivering innovation, transformation, or tech-enabled change with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders across functions.
• Experience supporting digital or AI initiatives including deployment or automation.
• Experience in regulated environments applying compliance to delivery.
• Excellent communication, change management, and facilitation to drive adoption.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, delivery, and reporting across the Global Clinical Operations AI portfolio.
• Monitor progress, dependencies, risks, and milestones to support decision-making.
• Deliver portfolio reporting and insights using KPIs and metrics.
• Coordinate governance activities including intake, prioritization, risk assessment, compliance alignment, and approvals.
• Lead change management, communications, training, and launch readiness for AI initiatives.
• Apply program management practices including value tracking, quality assurance, and benefits realization.
