Job summary

Storyful is seeking an engineering leader to build and lead a ~18-person AI-native engineering organization focused on turning customer problems into scalable software. You will coach senior technical leaders, shape fast feedback loops, and champion responsible AI adoption with Claude and Claude Code.

Responsibilities include creating an operating model, driving architectural excellence, and ensuring delivery aligns with customer value while maintaining quality and security.

Qualifications

• Must have proven engineering leadership in high-growth SaaS or scale-up.
• Track record of developing senior leaders and succession planning.
• Hands-on ability to review production code, contribute to architecture and prototyping.
• Experience with agentic development and AI maturity initiatives.
• Strong product and customer insight driving engineering decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and coach 5–7 senior technical leaders with clear growth plans.
• Design a lightweight, fast engineering operating model with clear guardrails.
• Embed Claude/Claude Code as a standard part of workflows and reviews.
• Partner with Product to translate customer pain points into engineering outcomes.
• Set high standards for reliability, security, and cost optimization.
• Lead from the front by reviewing code and prototyping when needed.
