Job summary

Storyful is seeking a hands-on Senior QA Automation Engineer to raise quality while accelerating delivery through AI-augmented engineering. You will design automation, evaluation, and quality foundations enabling engineers to own quality while maintaining reliability and trust as products become probabilistic.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and SRE to embed quality across the development lifecycle and build scalable automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools as part of daily workflow.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and integrating automation into delivery pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-augmented automation systems across web UI, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Translate acceptance criteria into executable tests and define reusable testing patterns.
• Reduce flakiness with observability, trace analysis, and AI-assisted failure triage.
• Embed testing early in the development lifecycle and establish quality gates and release readiness standards.
• Build QA practices for AI/LLM-powered features including evaluation pipelines and drift detection.
