Job summary

OpenText in Ireland is seeking a Technology & Innovation Programme Lead to steer the innovation engine behind our AI-focused programs. You will own externally funded research projects, manage funding submissions, tax credit activities, and strategic partnerships.

You will line-manage a small engineering and data science team and collaborate with universities, industry partners, and customers to convert research ideas into funded outcomes and measurable value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across engineering, programme management, or innovation operations with a technical degree.
• Proven ability to lead collaborative innovation projects with academic and industry partners.
• Strong software engineering background with depth in engineering, AI, and data science.
• Experience leading technical teams, including performance, development, and career growth.
• Excellent technical and business writing for funding submissions and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead grant-funded innovation programmes with academic and industry partners.
• Own strategic funding submissions and partner relationships end-to-end.
• Shape future innovation opportunities across the organisation.
• Develop competitive funding applications and feasibility studies.
• Drive tax credit reporting and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with universities, industry partners, and funding agencies.
• Line manage technical teams while providing technical leadership and oversight.
