Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects across internal customers, planning requirements and guiding projects through the full lifecycle, from scheduling to risk management.

You will partner with Technical Infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform and Core teams to drive reliability and scalability, mentor managers, and communicate trade-offs to executives, engineers and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in project or program management, managing cross-functional technical projects.
  • Experience in people management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver results in dynamic and ambiguous situations with excellent organizational, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Develop and articulate long-term strategy for highly complex, ambiguous programs reaching beyond the immediate organization to drive efficiency.
  • Become a trusted advisor to executive decision-makers, providing valuable technical insights and aligning executive stakeholders on program direction and sensitive communications.
  • Establish best practices and systems for identifying improvements in processes, products, or services through measurement and performance metrics.
  • Identify, mentor, and develop high-potential program managers and team members, preparing them for future roles within the organization.
