Job summary

OpenText in Ireland is actively seeking a Technology & Innovation Programme Lead to steer the innovation engine behind our AI-focused research and engineering teams. You will own externally funded programmes, drive funding initiatives and tax credit activities, and manage strategic partner relationships while guiding a small engineering and data science group.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across engineering, technical programme management, or innovation operations, with a technical degree.
• Proven ability to lead collaborative innovation projects with academic and industry partners.
• Strong software engineering background with AI and data science depth.
• Experience leading technical teams, including performance growth and career development.
• Excellent technical and business writing for funding submissions and compliance reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead grant-funded innovation programmes with academic and industry partners.
• Own strategic funding submissions and partner relationships end-to-end.
• Shape future innovation opportunities across the organization.
• Develop competitive funding applications and feasibility studies.
• Drive tax credit reporting and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with universities, industry partners, and funding agencies.
• Line manage technical teams with leadership and oversight.
