Job summary

Duties

• Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care
• Assessing, monitoring and reviewing patients’/residents’ health needs
• Carrying out clinical observations and recording patient information accurately
• Administering medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living where required
• Monitoring and responding appropriately to changes in a patient’s condition
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals
• Supporting patients and their families with care and communication
• Maintaining a safe, clean and professional care environment
• Adhering to NMBI standards, policies and procedures at all times

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing and Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experiencePrevious experience within a healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, community or similar environment
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong understanding of patient safety, confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Compassionate and person-centred approach to nursing care
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Registered with Clarity Locums (or willing to register)
