Job summary

Clarity Locums is seeking Registered General Nurses (RGNs) for urgent care agency work in Kerry. Competitive rates: €35/hour weekdays and €70/hour weekends/bank holidays, with flexible shifts and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

You will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care, assess acute needs, perform observations, and document care. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in General Nursing with active NMBI registration and at least 6 months post-registration experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing with active NMBI registration.
• Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Department, Acute Hospital or related settings desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in Urgent Care.
• Assess patients with acute and urgent healthcare needs.
• Carry out clinical observations and monitor patients’ conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
• Assist with assessment, treatment and management of patients.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.

Duties

• Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care within an Urgent Care setting
• Assessing patients presenting with a range of acute and urgent healthcare needs
• Carrying out clinical observations and monitoring patients’ conditions
• Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in patients’ clinical presentationAdministering medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Assisting with the assessment, treatment and management of patients
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing and Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience
• Previous experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Department, Acute Hospital, Medical/Surgical or similar settings is desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Experience recognising and responding to changes in patients’ clinical condition
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced clinical environment
