Job summary

Clarity Locums are recruiting Registered General Nurses (RGNs) for agency work in Community Nursing across the Cork area. You will deliver patient-centred care in patients' homes and liaise with GPs and healthcare teams.

The role offers €35/hour with €70/hour on weekends and Bank Holidays, flexible shifts, and a range of benefits including bonuses, free uniform, and paid NMBI registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing and active NMBI registration.
• Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience.
• Previous Community Nursing experience desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in community/home settings.
• Assess and monitor patients in Cork communities.
• Carry out clinical observations and monitor patients’ conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
• Liaise with GPs and community healthcare teams.
• Maintain nursing documentation.

Duties

• Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care within a community setting
• Assessing and monitoring patients in their own homes and community settings across Cork
• Carrying out clinical observations and monitoring patients’ conditions
• Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in patients’ clinical presentation
• Administering medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Supporting patients with ongoing healthcare needs and care plans
• Liaising with GPs, community healthcare teams and other healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing and Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience
• Previous Community Nursing experience is desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Experience recognising and responding to changes in patients’ clinical condition
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a community setting
• Full driving licence and access to your own transport is desirable
