Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is hiring a Programme Assistant for Ratoath Junior NS in Meath. This part-time position runs 2pm–6pm on-site at schools, delivering engaging activities and supervising children.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience with school-aged children, basic knowledge of child development, and strong English skills. Garda vetting will be completed after interview, with two written references required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience with school aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview).
• At least 2 written references before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
