Job description

A great opportunity to join a well-established Cork-based organisation as part of a small, close-knit team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll have a broad remit across finance, administration and business operations, with plenty of variety and genuine responsibility from day one. This is a role where you'll be trusted to get involved, take ownership and keep things moving across the business.

One day you might be working through financial information and tracking payments, the next you could be preparing for a board meeting, liaising with the bank or following up with key stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets, confident picking up the phone and chasing things when needed, and happy to get involved across different areas of the business. Alongside finance and compliance, you'll also have exposure to HR, marketing and general office support, so this would suit someone who enjoys variety rather than being tied to one particular area.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will have a varied day-to-day remit, supporting the CEO and wider business across areas including:

  • Managing financial administration, tracking payments and keeping financial information up to date
  • Working with spreadsheets and supporting regular financial reporting
  • Liaising with banks, suppliers and other key stakeholders
  • Assisting with board meeting preparation and documentation
  • Supporting compliance and general business administration
  • Providing support across HR, marketing and office operations
  • Picking up ad hoc projects and tasks as they arise

It's a role with plenty of variety, where being organised, proactive and willing to get stuck in will be key.

ABOUT THE PERSON:
  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts, business support or operations-focused role
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and spreadsheets
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confidence communicating with people internally and externally, including picking up the phone and following up when needed
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
  • The flexibility to turn your hand to different areas and get involved where needed
  • A practical, hands-on approach and a genuine willingness to learn

You don't need to be an expert in every area. What's important is that you're comfortable with variety, enjoy taking ownership and are someone the team can rely on to get things done.
