Job summary

Armont Recruitment is partnering with a growing Irish business in Co. Kildare to appoint an Accounts Receivable & Finance Assistant.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will focus on invoicing, credit control and support across the finance function. This is a hands-on role for an experienced accounts professional, offering a salary of €35,000–€45,000, pension from day one, 22 days' leave and flexible working arrangements after probation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within accounts receivable, credit control or a broader accounts position.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Confident user of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to customer interactions.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit finance team.
• Sage 50 experience and construction sector exposure would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer invoicing, statements and account administration.
• Monitor aged debtors and proactively follow up outstanding balances.
• Post and allocate customer payments while investigating account discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate supporting records.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing queries.
• Prepare debtor reporting and expected receipts information.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Assist with journals, month-end activities and wider finance administration.
• Support ongoing finance process improvements and ad hoc projects.
