Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to work with our Finance team in Newbridge. Operating across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the USA, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources.

Qualifications

3+ years in an Accounts Payable role in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of accounting principles, invoice processing and VAT (UK/EU) requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong accuracy.
Experience handling high volumes of supplier invoices and resolving queries.

Responsibilities

Processing, matching and posting large volumes of supplier invoices in a multi-currency/entity environment.
Liaising with suppliers, project support, and wider finance to resolve invoice queries.
Key contact point for an assigned group of suppliers.
Monthly supplier account reconciliations.
AP admin tasks including master data requests and mailbox management.
Support month-end activities and ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Participate in finance process improvement projects and audit-related activities.
