Job summary

Teamworx Ltd. in Dublin 2, Ireland is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy, hands-on team. You will handle purchase invoices, AP/AR, bank postings on Sage 50, payroll processing, and maintain the creditor ledger with accuracy.

The role offers excellent salary dependent on experience, ongoing training, educational support, and clear paths for progression within a supportive environment. Strong Excel skills and hospitality accounting knowledge are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in bookkeeping or as an accounts assistant.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
• Confident Excel user.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive self-starter, comfortable working on their own initiative within a small, close-knit team.
• Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and hit strict deadlines.
• Open to taking on broader accounts responsibilities as the role develops.
• Previous experience in hospitality accounting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Entering purchase invoices and credit notes
• AP/AR
• Posting bank transactions on Sage 50 Accounts
• Payroll processing - experience with Sage or similar software
• Maintaining and updating the monthly creditor ledger
• Supporting the supplier payment run
• Posting accruals and repayments
• Prep VAT returns
• Various ad hoc duties as they arise
