Morgan McKinley is exclusively working with a highly successful Cork-based financial practice to recruit an Outsourcing Director. This senior leadership appointment entails owning a thriving client outsourcing practice, balancing strategic vision with hands-on delivery.

You will lead a high-performance team, oversee resource planning and client engagements across a diverse portfolio, including bank negotiations and cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in financial outsourcing, accounting, or practice-based financial management.
• Proven leadership with experience managing sizeable teams and workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Irish VAT legislation and Revenue Commissioners requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resource allocation, workflow planning, and process improvement.
• Lead senior client relationships and quarterly reviews, translating data into insights.
• Represent clients at bank and wholesaler meetings, presenting bank proposals.

This senior leadership appointment arises from internal progression, as the current leader steps into a broader executive capacity. Inheriting a high-performing team you will take full ownership of a thriving client outsourcing practice, balancing strategic vision with hands‑on operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Divisional Leadership: Oversee resource allocation, workflow planning, and continuous process improvement to ensure premium client delivery.
• Client Relationship Management: Act as the senior point of contact across a diverse retail client portfolio. Lead quarterly account reviews and translate complex financial data into actionable commercial insights.
• External Representation: Attend key bank and wholesaler meetings on behalf of clients, leading financial negotiations and presenting robust bank proposals.
• People Development: Drive recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning in collaboration with executive leadership, fostering a high-performance, client-focused culture.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience within financial outsourcing, accounting, or practice-based financial management.
• Leadership: Proven track record of managing sizeable teams and structuring workflows in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Irish VAT legislation and Revenue Commissioners requirements, alongside deep experience in management accounts and cash flow forecasting.
• Adaptability: Equally comfortable reviewing granular management accounts as they are pitching to banks or advising C-suite clients.
