Job summary

PTSB Accounting & Finance Graduate Programme in Ireland offers graduates a 3.5-year rotation across Finance with hands-on exposure and path to a professional qualification. Participants work under experienced managers and learn financial, regulatory and strategic aspects critical to performance.

Structured development, buddy support and a formal learning framework prepare graduates for long-term finance careers within the Bank.

The PTSB Accounting & Finance Graduate Programme offers graduates the opportunity to build their careers within a dynamic Finance function while working towards a professional accountancy qualification. Over a 3.5-year programme, graduates will gain structured development, rotational experience and hands-on exposure across key areas of Finance. Developing strong technical accounting expertise as well as commercial, analytical and business partnering skills. Working alongside experienced colleagues, graduates will contribute to meaningful financial, regulatory and strategic initiatives while gaining valuable insight into how the Finance team supports decision-making and organisational performance across the Bank.

Supported by dedicated line managers, assigned buddies and a comprehensive learning and development framework, participants will develop the skills, experience and professional networks needed to build a successful long-term career in Finance.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting and Finance Graduate at PTSB you can expect to perform some of the following activities:

• Gain exposure and contribute to the Finance function in a fast-paced environment, build strong technical accounting skills, develop a curious mindset, and deepen commercial understanding behind the numbers.
• Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to identify customer pain points and process enhancements.
• Support the control testing requirements across all Finance functions as managed by the Finance Divisional Risk & Assurance function.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Engage with all areas of the organisation supporting colleagues and bank wide initiatives.
• Due to the changing nature of work and rotations, we encourage flexibility amongst graduates to perform other ad hoc activities and seize new opportunities as they arise.

Requirements:

• Graduating in 2027 / Graduated in 2026
• You must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction*** for the duration of the programme (September 2027 - March 2031)
• ***Without restriction refers to candidates who: (i) will have a visa in place which will be valid for the entirety of the 42 months (3.5 year) duration of the programme without any change in permission type required; and (ii) do not require any financial sponsorship from PTSB of work visa from September 2027 - March 2031.
• Candidates must have or be on track to achieve a minimum result of a 2:1 Second Class Honours, Grade 1 (60 - 69%) in their Level 8 qualification or above.
• Intention to pursue an ACCA/ACA or CIMA qualification.

This is a 42 month fixed term contract based in St. Stephen's Green (Hybrid Options available within Republic of Ireland only)
