Job summary

Bank of Ireland’s Finance Division runs a three-year Graduate Development Programme structured around three rotations, designed to accelerate professional growth through hands-on experience in financial reporting and MI.

You'll gain exposure to management reporting, data analytics, and specialist areas like treasury and risk management, with mentorship, digital training, and potential paths into the bank’s talent programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in internal management reporting and external financial reporting, including interim and annual statutory accounts, pre-close statements, published accounts, and investor briefings.
  • Development of expertise in management information (MI), data analytics, and financial instruments, risk management, balance sheet strategy, and capital requirements.
  • Opportunities to work across levels and divisions to build a strong professional network.
  • Regular interaction with senior leadership, including the CEO and Executive Committee.
  • Access to our Digital Academy and Mentorship Programme for guidance and future career paths.
  • Potential pathway into Bank of Ireland's talent programmes to fast-track high-potential individuals.

Job description

The Finance Division is responsible for all financial and management reporting processes across Bank of Ireland Group. This three-year programme, structured around three rotations, is designed to equip graduates with the critical skills needed to accelerate their professional development and career growth.

Programme overview

As a graduate, you'll develop strong management, interpersonal, and technical skills while working on business-critical projects in a fast-paced environment. You'll be encouraged to seek new experiences, collaborate across teams, and contribute to meaningful transformation initiatives that support our Group strategy.

The opportunity
