Job summary

The West Co. Limerick-based client of CPL is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller with a wide remit across management and financial accounting. This permanent role requires overseeing monthly consolidation, reconciliations, and risk controls while driving commercial budgeting objectives.

You will work closely with the finance team and company secretary, delivering project-led financial guidance and ensuring accurate reporting for audits and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualified in a relevant discipline ideally.
• Fully qualified accountant – ACA or ACCA preferred.
• 3+ years industry experience ideal; strong audit/practice considered at lower salary.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and inter-personal skills.
• Proven ability to work on your own initiative and deliver on projects.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Financial Controller with a broad remit across management and financial accounting.
• Prepare monthly management and consolidated group accounts.
• Run balance sheet reconciliations and assist on audit and compliance reporting.

Are you an experienced & fully qualified accountant with a solid industry profile who is now looking to take on an exciting new challenge? Or have you recently completed your full qualifications in an audit/practice environment & are now looking to make the move to industry?

Our client, a long-established & high profile commercial organisation headquartered in West Co. Limerick have have now engaged with us in CPL to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their team & act a the primary support to the Financial Controller. This role is a permanent position & the successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the on-going success of the organisation so if you're interested

The Job

As a key part of the finance team team you will work closely with the Financial Controller & cover a broad remit of duties across both management & financial accounting duties. More specifically this will include the preparation of the monthly management & consolidated group accounts, running balance sheet reconciliations, assisting on audit & compliance reporting, overseeing financial risk & internal controls analysis, liaising with the company secretary on relevant matters, providing financial guidance on commercial & budget goal setting, leading out your individual projects & supporting the wider operations team on their duties/projects when & where needed.

Your Skills/Experience that we need

• 3rd level qualified in a relevant discipline ideally.
• Fully qualified accountant - ACA or ACCA preferred.
• 3+ years industry experience ideally but candidates with a strong audit/practice profile will also be considered at a lower salary level.
• Excellent IT skills including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications.
• Excellent attention to detail & inter-personal skills.
• Proven ability to work on your own initiative & deliver on individual as well as departmental projects.

The Offer

Salary will depend on candidate skills & experience but is expected to range up to approx. 75k maximum + benefits. This role will be fully office based in West Co. Limerick so could suit candidates currently based in North Co. Kerry or looking to relocate to the region.
