Job summary

Arcon Recruitment Ireland is recruiting an Accounts Assistant / Accountant for a valued client based in Co. Mayo. The role covers monthly management accounts, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and broader financial reporting, working closely with the finance team.

The ideal candidate is part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or Accounting Technician), experienced in finance, detail-focused and proficient in Excel and accounting systems.

Qualifications

Part-qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or Accounting Technician
Previous experience in an accounts/finance role
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficient in Excel and accounting systems

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly management accounts
Manage accounts payable & receivable
Perform bank reconciliations and financial reporting tasks
Support VAT returns and compliance
Work closely with the wider finance team
