Job summary

Fota Island Resort in Cork, Ireland, is recruiting an Accommodation Supervisor to join the Accommodation department. The role requires passion for hospitality, motivation, and energy for a hands-on position.

The successful candidate will support daily operations across all shifts, ensuring standards in cleanliness, guest service, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
• Brief all shift colleagues on the day’s operations.
• Assist Accommodation Manager and Assistant Manager with training and coaching of team members.
• Identify opportunities to upgrade service levels and guest experience.
• Ensure daily handover is complete and accurate.
• Support cost control through roster preparation and stock checking.
• Open and close daily operations.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards and SOPs within accommodation.
• Participate in departmental meetings.
• Project a pleasant and professional image to guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all associates on shift are briefed regarding the day’s operation
• Assist Accommodation Manager and Assistant Manager in training & coaching new and existing team members
• Identify & implement opportunities to upgrade service levels
• Ensure daily handover is complete and accurate
• Support in cost control process i.e. in preparation of rosters, requisitions, checking stock levels
• Opening and closing of daily operations
• Ensuring adherence to brand standards and SOPs within accommodation
• Participation in Departmental meetings
• To project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times
• Manage needs and expectations of guests
• Maintain positive teamwork at all times
• Monitor use of cleaning checklists
• Assist in dealing with customer comments
