Job summary

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is seeking a compassionate Local Service Manager for our Galway, Mayo & Roscommon services to lead residential and community teams in delivering person-centred rehabilitation.

You will oversee admissions, care planning, budgets, and collaboration with clinical colleagues, families and partners, while promoting inclusion and high-quality services in a part-time role (19.5 hours) with DOE salary range 57,856–75,210 per year.

Qualifications

• A relevant third-level qualification in Health or Social Care.
• At least 4 years post-graduate experience in health or social care settings.
• Minimum 3 years leading and managing staff teams with focus on performance.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to undertake leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage residential and community services with person-centred support for individuals with an acquired brain injury.
• Supervise and support staff teams, including Team Leaders and Rehabilitation Assistants, overseeing recruitment, rotas and performance management.
• Facilitate admissions, discharges, and daily independence for residents with families and clinical teams.
• Build relationships with local agencies and stakeholders to promote community inclusion.
• Ensure IRPs are developed, implemented and reviewed with accurate documentation.
