Job summary

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is seeking a compassionate Community and Residential Rehabilitation Assistant to support adults with acquired brain injuries in Mountbolus, Co. Offaly.

You will deliver one-to-one community support and residential care, helping individuals build daily living skills and confidence in a person-centred setting. The role is permanent, full-time with 39 hours per week; salary range is €31,550 to €45,381 pro rata based on hours worked, with benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a QQI Level 5 or higher
• Full driving licence
• Person-centred values
• Strong communication skills – English (spoken and written)
• Confident using basic IT systems

Responsibilities

• Build respectful, trusting relationships and offer consistent support
• Help create and guide personalised rehabilitation plans
• Encourage independence through daily living skills and goal-focused activities
• Identify additional support needs for the person served
• Encourage family, personal and neighbourhood relationships and interactions
• Feedback to the clinical and management team on the rehabilitation journey
• Coordinate cases to support consistency in rehabilitation review meetings
• Adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures
• Assist persons served with budgeting and disability benefits where applicable
• Work closely with the team, attend meetings and update progress on IPlanit
