Job summary

Fastnet in Cork is recruiting an Operational Excellence 6S Specialist for a hands-on, 12-month contract in a growing biopharma laboratory. You will lead the implementation, standardisation and embedding of 6S across lab operations.

You will work with scientists, engineers, EHS and facilities to deliver safe, compliant and well-organised environments, run audits, deliver 6S training, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments, ideally biopharma or medical devices.
• Experience implementing 5S/6S in labs or manufacturing settings.
• Strong collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing sustainability of 6S across laboratory areas.
• Coordinate the 6S programme and workplace assessments.
• Develop visual workplace standards and support consistent adoption.
