Job summary

Lynam Electrical is actively seeking a 2nd year electrical apprentice to gain hands-on experience in electrical installation across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings.

You will assist qualified electricians, participate in on-site duties, and attend Solas apprenticeship classes as part of your training. A full driving licence and proximity to Tullamore are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be located within 40 km of Tullamore and possess a full driving licence.
• Must be up-to-date with Safe Pass and Manual Handling Training.

What will you do?

As part of this apprenticeship, you will gain exposure in areas such as Electrical Installation in domestic, commercial and industrial setting.

Day To Day Duties

• Assist a qualified electrician and follow instructions
• Prepare and clean work areas.
• Carry and deliver materials.
• Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and security systems.
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform varying electrical work.
• Follow safety codes and building regulations.
• Be flexible to work overtime.
• Will also be required to attend classes in line with the Solas apprenticeship programme.

Requirements

• Must have Full driving licence
• Minimum Pass Result in the Official Leaving Certificate Maths Exam
• Up-to-date Safe Pass and Manual Handling Training
• Must be located within 40km of Tullamore

Ideal Candidates

Must have a positive can do attitude and a willingness to learn. You may be required to travel to other sites nationwide so a driving license is an advantage. Qualified applicants must be well-organized, self motivated, team players and be 100% committed to learning the electrical & security trade. They must be able to follow instructions and apply the knowledge that they have learned..
