Job summary

Designer Group is offering an apprenticeship in electrical systems in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will work under qualified electricians, support system installations, and complete essential training.

The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in electrical work, having completed the Irish Leaving Certificate with Ordinary Level Maths. This role offers a pathway to develop skills and gain experience within a leading international engineering contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance and supervision of qualified electricians and site supervisors.
• Support the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Attend and complete all required on‑job and off‑job apprenticeship training.
• Follow Designer Group’s health and safety procedures, site rules and company standards.
• Carry out tasks as directed by supervisors, mentors and managers.
• Develop technical skills, practical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems.
• Maintain good timekeeping, attendance and professionalism.
• Take feedback positively and use it to support your development.
• Work as part of a team while building confidence and independence over time.

Ideal Candidate

• Completed the Irish Leaving Certificate.
• Passed Ordinary Level Maths in the Leaving Certificate.
• Has a genuine interest in electrical work, engineering, construction or building services.
• Shows strong willingness to learn and develop.
• Possesses good attention to detail.
• Demonstrates a reliable, hard‑working and positive attitude.

• Commits to safety and follows procedures.
• Prior practical, technical, construction or trade‑related experience is an advantage, though not essential.
