Job summary

Anduril Industries in Dublin is offering a paid, in-person Hardware Engineer Internship for Spring/Summer 2027. You will design electronics from concept to prototype, perform PCB design, and integrate systems while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver rugged hardware for real-world deployments.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, firmware development for microcontrollers and embedded Linux, and exposure to test equipment and common engineering tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering, maths, or science.
• Must be returning to University after internship for at least one academic year.
• Ability to complete an in-person internship in Dublin office.
• Experience with C/C++ development, embedded Linux, and hardware debugging is valued.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and JIRA is preferred.
• Experience with interface standards (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and Unix/Linux tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection.
• PCB design, and system level integration.
• Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software debugging tools.
• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, embedded Linux systems, and supporting development & testing tools.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
• Support new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware in a fast-paced environment.
• Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages.

We are seeking Hardware Engineer Interns forSpring/Summer 2027! This is a paid, in-person, internship. The Voyager team at Anduril Industries is an engineering and design division with vast experience in developing innovative computing and communications solutions for the network edge. We specialise in integrating enterprise networking and capabilities from global IT leaders with purpose-built hardware and software platforms designed to meet the most stringent environmental requirements. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection,
• PCB design, and system level integration.
• Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools.
• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, embedded Linux systems, and supporting development & testing tools.
• Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
• Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
• Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, maths, or science.
• Must be returning to University at the end of the internship to continue studies for at least one academic year.
• Ability to complete an in-person internship in our Dublin office.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA, etc.
• Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux tools.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and common languages (Python, Rust, Haskell, etc.)
