Job summary
Baker Hughes in Batam, Indonesia, seeks a Manufacturing Specialist - Manuf Eng Specialist to lead welding processes, improve methods, and drive Lean improvements in WCS projects. You will ensure proper routing, document control, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet program milestones.
The role requires a Bachelor degree in Welding/Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering and hands‑on experience with welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW) plus quality systems and project know‑how.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- International Certified Welding Engineer / CSWIP Welding Engineer preferred.
- Basic project management knowledge and welding process expertise.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, routing and layouts for welding.
- Drive continuous improvement with change management and lean practices.
- Prepare and review WPS/PQR and related documents for projects.
- Collaborate with Engineering and bidding teams on plant capability and hours.
- Maintain welding consumables and support production efficiency.
